Pop-Up movie night with Popcorn: CHOREOGRAPHY OF TIME.
Join us Friday May 25, 6-8pm.
SPIRIT OF PLACE is our first show of 2018. It is about the feeling we find when we are grounded in place, in knowledge of where we are, yet connected to the energetic space around us, the sky, the lake, and the beauty of being. Spirit of Place is a combination of playful and thoughtful work that is both grounded in the dynamic spirit and color of Flying Kites from Kate Pond and the more structured black & white linocuts from Nori Pepe based on her discoveries of place in her travels. Each has found her spirit of place through travel, reflection, and play.
Kate Pond's Flying Kites kite sculptures hang throughout the volume of the gallery and two will be available to fly during the Saturday May 5th, afternoon OPENING.
Nori Pepe's work Carving out a Place are black & white unframed linocuts based on her travels to Venice, Moscow, and more.
Look for new Gallery show April 27 to June 3: Spirit of Place with Kate Pond and Nori Pepe. Keep in mind the OPENING Reception with kite flying on Saturday, May 5th, 3-5pm.
Next is Constructions Light and Solid with Holly Rae Taylor and Ed Owre. Opening Reception: Friday, June 15th, 5 -8pm.
July brings Natural Instincts with Emily Brown and Russell Fellows. Opening Reception: Friday, July 27th, 5-8pm.
And last, but of course not least, Book Making with Genese Grill and Diane Gayer. Opening Reception: Friday, August 31, 5-8pm.

Mid-January magic with cold and snow. It's been a few years since we've had both together. There's such beauty in the icy streams and the frozen confections they create.... but sometimes the camera can't capture the moment. I have never seen formations that remind me of Yellowstone arising out of our local streams, but today I did. Spectacular.
